Kings In Disguise
Formed in 1990 on a farm in rural New Jersey, Kings have recorded three critically acclaimed CD’s, played they’re brand of hillbilly funk n’ folk for music lovers up and down the East Coast and opened up for some of their heroes such as Van Morrison, Taj Mahal, Graham Parker, Dr. John, Alejandro Escovedo and Dave Alvin.

In the last two years of his life, Kings In Disguise regularly backed up rock and roll hall of famer Rick Danko of the Band at such venues as the Bottom Line and colleges and clubs throughout the North East.

Kings In Disguise took their name from the one act play written by James Vance. The play is the story of a young boy who runs away from his troubled home and along the way is taken in by hobos’ who refer to themselves as Kings In Disguise in an attempt to conceal their real identities and lend a sense of dignity to their otherwise arduous lives. It was eventually released as a wonderful graphic novel featuring the brilliant artwork of Dan Burr and published by Kitchen Sink Press.

Since the formation of Railroad Earth, Tim Carbone and Andy Goessling have had precious little time for anything else. Still, Kings In Disguise continue to perform sporadically around the Northwestern New Jersey- Northeastern Pennsylvania area.
